Water Sports

The entire island is only 25 miles long and 7 miles wide so it is easy to get around and enjoy the various beaches and water sports facilities scattered all over the island. Water sports centers offer all types of programs that our tour desk can discuss with you.

The Pigeon Point beach is protected by the Buccoo Reef, creating an ideal environment for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The reef protects the Bon Accord Lagoon, Coral Gardens and Nylon Pools from the open Caribbean sea. The peak windsurfing season is the middle of December through to June. There are various clinics and operators available for guests interested in learning one or both of these sports. The offseason of July through December provides the idea time for beginners to learn these sports.

Other water sports that are featured on the island of Tobago include Hobie Cat Sailing, kayaking, waterskiing, wakeboarding and surfing.

Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort provides a full-service concierge desk that will be able to assist you with additional information about water sports and other Tobago activities.
